Advice for the Muslims (L-3209)
Arrogance of the hypocrites had increased so much that when they used to come to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), they used to greet him in a bad way (“’As-Saamu ‘alaykum” instead of “’As-Salaamu ‘alaykum”) and then say in their hearts: If he is Messenger of Allaah, Allaah must punish us on our arrogance. Why does He not punish us for what we say?
It is commanded: They will be punished one time, which is that they will be thrown into the Hell for burning on the Day of Resurrection forever. That is a wretched destination.
After that, the Muslims are being instructed: When you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) like hypocrites, but converse about righteousness and piety. Behold! Fear Allaah Almighty every time and bear in mind that one Day; all of you will be gathered in the Court of Allaah Almighty, Who knows entire apparent and secret matters.
I say with regret that nowadays some people
visit the religious gatherings for jesting, criticising and vexing the
preachers.
