Advice to Believers (L-3201)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ نُورًا تَمْشُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 28 لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ مِّن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 29 |

28. Yaaa ‘ayyuhallaziina ‘aamanut-taqUllaaha wa ‘aaminuu bi-RasuuliHii yu'-tikum kiflayni mir-RahmatiHii wa yaj-'al-lakum Nuuran tamshuuna bihee wa yagfir lakum. Wallaahu Gafuurur- Rahiim. 29. Li-'allaa
ya'-lama ‘Ahlul-Kitaabi ‘allaa
yaqdiruuna 'alaa shay-'im-min fazLillaahi
wa ‘annal-fazla bi-YaDillaahi yu'-tiihi
many-yashaaa'. Wallaahu Zul-Fazilil-‘Aziim. (Section
– 4/20) |

28. O
you who believe! Be mindful of your duty to Allah and put faith in His
messenger. He will give you twofold of His mercy and will appoint for you a
light wherein you shall walk, and will forgive you. Allah is Forgiving,
Merciful; 29. That
the People of the Scripture may know that they control naught of the bounty
of Allah, but that the bounty is in Allah's hand to give to whom He will. And
Allah is of Infinite Bounty. |
It is commanded: As you have believed that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a true Messenger, now you must fear Allaah Almighty and believe in His last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) too. So that you may get a double portion of His reward and such a light by which you may walk the Straight Path and your errors and omissions are forgiven. Bear in mind: Allaah Almighty is Forgiving and Merciful.
After that it is commanded: O believers of
Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them): You must not be hopeless that since long
your Messenger (peace be upon him) has departed and now you cannot achieve such
higher ranks which are attained by the companions of a Messenger. This is
Muhammad, Our last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him),
present among you. You can get great and higher ranks accompanying him. It is
from the Bounty of Allaah Almighty. He gives it to whom He wills. Allaah
is the Possessor of great Bounty.
