Distribution of wealth (L-3226)
Those who follow the European people in earning wealth and its distribution, like their Economics and to earn by working hard, they must look within themselves and think for awhile that what the Holy Qur’an has been describing in this matter and what did the old Muslims do concerning it? They will come to know that true sympathizer and supporter of the mankind is this Holy Qur’an, and its reformed religion is Islam. Without it all other religions have been amended and do not exist in their actual form.
Islam says: Your entire physical and mental powers are given by Allaah Almighty. Use them for fulfilling your requirements according to prescribed religious Laws. All such Laws have been mentioned in Holy Qur’an. For their explanation, Allaah Almighty appointed Muhammad as His Messenger and Viceroy (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). After him, this responsibility has been given to his followers (Muslims). They should keep it up and establish a pattern of Islamic life.
Islam teaches: The things, which every mankind needs for living comfortably in the world, should not be collected with a person or group in such a way that remaining people are deprived of them. Any individual or some persons cannot be allowed that they snatch such necessary things from others, take their possession and say: I have earned this wealth by sense and management. So I have power either to spend it as I will or keep it with me without spending.
Apparently the wealth is attained by labor of one person, but in fact it is attained by collective labor. Therefore, every individual must be paid remuneration so much of his labor that he may fulfill his lawful requirements. And remaining money should be deposited in the public treasury. The public treasury must be looked after by honest believers. Those are the deputies of the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) in this regard. Such just people should come forward for making its arrangements. Bringing them forward is responsibility of the entire nation. Every individual must not come forward himself for taking over the control of the Country and ruling over others, but he should go forward to whom people choose and consider fit for any particular appointment.
Islam has urged the Muslims to gather at one place by means of Masaajid
(Mosques) at prescribed times. Therefore, every individual can be well aware of
everyone’s circumstances. And it is easy to choose a best person when it is
required. Those who are chosen by the people, but they themselves do not desire
to become superior to others, because self praise is no recommendation, it is
their duty that they should make arrangement of distributing the wealth; earned
by the Muslims. And they should not leave sobbing any needy.
