Don’t be panic and nor boast (L-3196)

أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 21b  مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّبْرَأَهَآ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ 22  لِّكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ 23a

21b.  ‘u-'iddat  lillaziina  ‘aamanuu  Billaahi  wa  Rusulih.  Zaalika  fazlUllaahi  yu'-tiihi  many-yashaaa'.  Wallaahu  Zul-Fazlil-'Aziim.   22.  Maaa  ‘asaaba  mim-musiibatin  fil-‘arzi  wa  laa fiii  ‘anfusikum  ‘illaa  fii  kitaabim-min  qabli  ‘an-nabra-‘ahaa.  ‘Inna  zaalika  'alAllaahi  yasiir.   23a.  Li-kaylaa  ta'-saw  'alaa  maa  faatakum  wa  laa  tafrahuu  bimaaa  ‘aataakum.

21b.  which is in store for those who believe in Allah and His messengers. Such is the bounty of Allah, which He bestows upon whom He will, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty. 22. Naught of disaster befalls in the earth or in yourselves but it is in a Book before we bring it into being - Lo! that is easy for Allah - 23a. That you grieve not for the sake of that which has escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which has been given.

It is commanded: The Paradise has been prepared for those who believed in Allaah Almighty and His messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). That is the bounty of Allaah Almighty which He gives to whom He wills, and He is the Possessor of great bounty.

After that, it has been described: Don’t be confused due to any disaster when it strikes upon you and nor boast on any good fortune.  No disaster comes on the earth, nor any particular calamity strikes among yourselves except that it is already written in a register {Lawh Mahfuuz (a Table on which the destinies of the world since its creation are written)} before, which Allaah Almighty brings into being. That is not difficult for Allaah Almighty, because He is The Knower of everything. And nothing can be difficult for Him to write Who knows. It is called “Fate, Destiny, Lot and Predestination”. You have been informed about this Secret in order that it may become easy for you to have patience in difficulties. Be thankful to Him at the time of His blessing upon you and do not exult in pride over what He has given you.
