Commandments of Allaah (L-3186)

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ 7 وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَٰقَكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ 8 |

7. ‘Aaminuu Billaahi wa RasuuliHii wa ‘anfiquu mim-maa ja-'alakum-mustakh-lafiina fiih. Fallaziina ‘aamanuu minkum wa ‘anfaquu lahum ‘Ajrun- kabiir. 8. Wa
maa lakum laa
tu'-minuuna Billaah. War-Rasuulu
yad-'uukum li-tu'-minuu bi-Rabbikum
wa qad ‘akhaza
Miisaaqakum ‘in- kuntum-
Mu'-miniin. |

7. Believe
in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He has made you
trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a
great reward. 8. What
ails you that you believe not in Allah, when the messenger calls you to
believe in your Lord, and He has already made a covenant with you, if you are
believers? |
It is commanded: When you have accepted Allaah Almighty and known His Epithets, then now you must believe in Him and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). While you are under His control in every respect and cannot disappear from Him, then there is no way but to obey His Commands and spend your wealth according to His Instructions.
Remember! Everything which you possess is given by Him. This
wealth and property was in possession of others before you. They left it behind
and departed. Now Allaah Almighty has appointed you as viceroy at their
places. Whatever will you spend from it after having belief; its reward will be
given to you. There is no reason of your disbelieving now. While the Messenger
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) also has been inviting you
clearly that you must believe in Allaah Almighty, for which He has
already taken your covenant that “We accept that You are our Lord”, and you
have promised that you will follow the Sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory,
blessings and peace be upon him), then spend your life and wealth in the Way of
Allaah Almighty, and obey the Commands of Allaah Almighty if
really you are believers.
