The behaviour of the Muslims (L-3230)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 18 وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَأَنسَىٰهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ 19 لَا يَسْتَوِىٓ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ 20 |

18. Yaaa-‘ayyuhal-laziina ‘aamanut-taqUllaaha wal-tanzur nafsum-maa qaddamat ligad. WattaqUllaah. ‘InnAllaaha Khabiirum- bimaa ta'-maluun. 19. Wa laa takuunuu kallaziina nasUllaaha fa-‘ansaahum ‘anfusahum. ‘Ulaaa-'ika humul-faasiquun. 20. Laa
yastawiii ‘As-haabun-Naari wa
‘As-haabul- Jannah.
‘As-haabul-Jannati
humul-Faaa-'izuun. |

18. O
you who believe! Observe your duty to Allah. And let every soul look to that
which it sends on before for the morrow. And observe your duty to Allah. Lo!
Allah is Informed of what you do. 19. And
be not you as those who forgot Allah, therefor He caused them to forget their
souls. Such are the evil-doers. 20. Not
equal are the owners of the Fire and the owners of the Garden. The owners of
the Garden, they are the victorious. |
Behaviour of the Jews and the Hypocrites has already been described. Their tricks will neither be useful in this world and nor will they find rest and peace after death in the Hereafter. In the world their consequence will be the same as the consequence of ancient disobedient people before them whose ruins they see around themselves. For the Day of Resurrection, they did nothing, so they will deserve nothing but torment of disbelief and disobedience.
After that, in these verses, it is being described to the
Muslims that how should they live in this world, so that they may remain higher
than the disbelievers here, as well as they must be informed about their
peaceful life of the Day of Resurrection too. It is commanded: As you have believed in Allaah Almighty, you must
fear Him and escape from the things which are forbidden by Him. Have faith that
this world will be over, after it the Day of Judgement will come. Do such good
works in the world which may be useful for you in the Hereafter. Fear Allaah.
Indeed, He is Acquainted with what you do. O believers! Be not like those who
forgot Allaah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the
defiantly disobedient of Laws made by Him. Bear in mind! Not equal are the
companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise. The companions of
Paradise are the attainers of success.
