Condition of unbelievers (L-3435)

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا 13  إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ 14  بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا 15  فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ 16  وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ 17  وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ 18  لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ 19

13.  ‘Innahuu  kaana  fiii  ‘ahlihii  masruuraa.  14.  ‘Innahuu  zanna  ‘al-lany-yahuur.  15.  Balaaa  ‘inna  Rabbahuu  kaana  bihii  Basiiraa.  16.  Falaaa  ‘uqsimu  bish-Shafaq.  17.  Wallayli  wa  maa  wasaq.  18.  Wal-qamari  ‘izat-tasaq.  19.  La-tarkabunna  tabaqan  'an-  tabaq.

13. He verily lived joyous with his folk,  14. He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah).  15. Nay, but lo! His Lord is ever looking on him!  16. Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset,  17. And by the night and all that it enshrouds,  18. And by the moon when she is at the full,  19. That you shall journey on from plane to plane.

It is commanded: The careless person was that who used to live at home happily along with other members of his family and did never think concerning the Day of Judgment. If someone used to say that he might not be involved in worldly matters so much that he should forget even the Day of Resurrection, he used to reply: Don’t tell me, what is the Last Day? Do you not observe that how many amusements exist in the world and so many new things for enjoyment have been invented in the world?

He used to imagine that coming back to life again after death and being produced before Allaah Almighty for reckoning of personal deeds was nothing but superstition only. It was the reason that he used to fulfil his all desires lawfully or unlawfully. O mankind! Listen to it carefully! Certainly you shall have to stand before Allaah Almighty and your accounts will be checked. Your Lord has been looking your entire deeds and is Aware of your all circumstances. He has decided that wrongdoers should be punished, but the believers; who did righteous works; will dwell always in comfort and pleasure. You must never think that your condition will remain the same while many changes come in this world. Do you not observe that when day time is over the night comes and darkness spreads everywhere, the moon rises; at first little and gradually it appears full; like this; it increases and decreases again and again in the duration of every month? O mankind! You also will have to pass through different changes and you know – childhood, puberty, old age and death. Know it also that even after death too, the circumstances will be changed. Entire human beings will be brought back to life again and they will have to pass through such circumstances which have been described in Holy Qur’an.
