Management of the Divine Revelation (L-3344)

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْءَانَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا 9  وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا 10  وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدًا 11  وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُۥ هَرَبًا 12

9.  Wa  ‘annaa  kunnaa  naq-'udu  minhaa  maqaa-'ida  lis-sam’.  Famany-yastami-'il-'aana  yajid  lahuu  shihaabar-rasadaa. 10.  Wa  ‘annaa  laa nadriii  ‘a-sharrun  ‘uriida  biman-  fil-‘arzi  'am  'araada  bihim  Rab-buhum  rashadaa. 11.  Wa  ‘annaa  min-nas-saalihuuna  wa  minnaa  duuna  zaalik.  Kunnaa  taraaa-'iqa  qidadaa. 12.  Wa  ‘annaa  zanan-naaa  ‘al-lan-  nu'-jizAllaaha  fil-‘arzi  wa  lan-nu'-jizahuu  harabaa.

9. And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listens now finds a flame in wait for him; 10. And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intends guidance for them. 11. And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 12. And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.

It is commanded: Those Jinn who listened the verses of Holy Qur’an from the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and returned, said to the people of their folk: We used to sit on any corner (of the heaven) in positions for hearing, so that we may hear the conversation of the angels (peace be upon them) and spread rumours (mixed up with our thoughts) on the earth concerning the future programs, but its present condition is that whoever from us will try to listen now; will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. Then either he runs away or is burnt. This new system is for the safety of the new Word, that is to say, Holy Qur’an, so that the wicked devils may not mix up anything wrong in it. Now it is not known that whether entire people will deserve reward after having belief in Qur’an or will be punished due to denying it. Among us already there are the righteous and the others (both kinds of people). It will be observed that after coming of the Qur’an, whether the difference is removed or increased. We have become certain that there is no way except the obedience of Allaah Almighty. Neither we can disappear from Him and nor we can save ourselves by flight from Him.
