The duties of the angels (L-3400)
Chapter “NAAZI-‘AAT” – (Those who drag forth) - 79
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
|
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًا 1 وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًا 2 وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًا 3 فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًا 4 فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا 5 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ 6 تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ 7 قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ 8 أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌ 9 يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ 10 أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا نَّخِرَةً 11 |

1. Wan-NAAZI-‘AATI garqaa. 2. Wan-naashitaati nashtaa. 3. Was-saabi-haati sabhaa. 4. Fas-saabiqaati sabqaa. 5. Fal-mudabbiraati ‘amraa. 6. Yawma tarjufur-raajifah. 7. Tatba-'u har-Raadifah. 8. Quluubuny-Yawma-‘izinw-waaji-fatun. 9. ‘Absaaruhaa khaashi-'ah. 10. Yaquuluuna ‘a’-innaa la-marduuduuna fil-haafirah. 11. ‘A-‘izaa
kunnaa 'izaaman-nakhirah. |

those who drag forth to destruction, 2. By
the meteors rushing, 3. By
the lone stars floating, 4. By
the angels hastening, 5. And
those who govern the event, 6. On
the day when the first trump resounds. 7. And
the second follows it, 8. On
that day hearts beat painfully 9. While
eyes are downcast 10. (Now)
they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 11. Even
after we are crumbled bones? |
It is commanded: When the mankind dies, the angels (peace be upon them) pull out his soul from his body. They pull the souls out of the disbelievers with violence by penetrating into their bodies, but the souls of the believers are removed slowly with ease. These angels glide and come down on the earth as they are swimming in the air, then they carry away the souls of the mankind rapidly and make arrangement for their reward or punishment as they are commanded. The mankind knows concerning his death, but he should meditate in such occurrences which happen at the time of death. He should consider that he will have to come back to life again after death on a Day when earthquakes will come on the earth continually, most of the hearts will begin to tremble and the eyes humbled. Why do the people not believe? They say: Will we indeed be returned to our former state of life even if we should be decayed bones?
