22. Then
frowned he and showed displeasure. 23. Then
turned he away in pride 24. And
said: This is naught else than magic from of old; 25. This
is naught else than speech of mortal man. 26. Him
shall I fling unto the burning. 27. -
Ah, what will convey unto you what that burning is! - 28. It
leaves naught; it spares naught 29. It
shrivels the man. 30. Above
it are nineteen. |
It is commanded: That disbeliever (Walid bin Mughirah) set up an opinion in his mind, then he lifted up his eyes and saw, creased on his forehead and was ill-humoured, turned his face and began to be arrogant. Then he said: This (Holy Qur’an) is not but magic imitated from ancient people. This is not but the Word of a human being.
After that it is commanded: Where can he go? I will punish him due to his arrogance and cast him into the Fire of the Hell. What do you know about the Fire of the Hell? That is not an ordinary Fire, but is so much sharp which lets nothing remain and leaves nothing un-burned. Moreover, nineteen angels (peace be upon them) have been keeping a watch over it.
This is description concerning the punishment
of a particular man. However, every such person is included in it; who is borne
from the mother’s womb – alone and poor. Then he becomes rich and landlord by
the Grace of Allaah Almighty; Who gives him many sons and abundant land.
Common people follow him and he has many servants for own service. His sons are
along with him every time. If such person jests after hearing the verses of
Holy Qur’an and says carelessly after knowing the blessings of the
Paradise: “All such blessings will be provided to me as I have been enjoying in
this world”. The End of all such people will be as explained above.
