What did we learn from Chapter 74 (L-3366)
Chapter “MUDDASSIR” – (The Cloaked One) - 74
It has been taught in this Chapter that conveying the Message of Islam to the entire human beings of the world is necessary for the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and after him the scholars of the nation. For this purpose, the Muslims should produce five attributes into themselves:
1. Expose by your tongues and deeds that Allaah is the Greatest. You must neither fear any other than Him and nor ask someone for something.
2. Keep your body, clothes and more than all other things your hearts (in short your outward appearance and inward qualities) pure and clean.
3. Remain away from impure and filthy works and affairs. The most impure and bad thing is ascribing plurality to Allaah Almighty. Therefore, first of all you must abstain from it.
4. Keep your spirit and intention high. Do not oblige on someone; expecting that he will benefit you in future more than your favor. It aims that one should do good for others, not for personal advantage but for acquiring pleasure of Allaah Almighty.
5. Bear difficulties and pains with patience for the sake of Allaah Almighty which you confront in the obedience of His Commands.
It turned out that the work of preaching cannot be performed as it is required to be performed without adopting above mentioned five things.
For their explanation, it has been commanded: There is a need of frightening the people from the Day of Resurrection that deniers of Allaah Almighty will be suffering from severe afflictions on that Day. Allaah Almighty has described clearly that the people who deny Him, His Word (Holy Qur’an) and the Day of Resurrection due to pride of their wealth, sons and worldly things, He shall torment them certainly on the Doomsday. You must do your work without thinking about them. Doom of the Hell is ready for them, arrangement of which is in the Hands of the angels (peace be upon them). Which form of arrangement has been explained here, is for examining the people. Good people will accept it without arguing, but wicked people will criticize in various ways that “why this arrangement has been made in such manner”. Say to them: That is entirely correct whatever has been described concerning the Doom of the Hereafter and the Hell etc. Now “As you sow so you shall reap”. Only such people will be in ease and peace who obeyed the Commands of Allaah Almighty. Those will be dwellers of the Hell who ignored establishing prayer, fasting, paying the poor-due, alms and charity. Instead of doing good works, they would have remained busy in worldly works and amusements wholeheartedly.
The mankind should listen to Holy Qur’an, understand its
meanings and live according to its commandments, without making excuses of
disbelieving in it and changing the meanings of clear Commands according to own
desire. Guidance is in the Hand of Allaah Almighty. Everyone should fear
Him and ask forgiveness from Him only.
