Reward for the Righteous (L-3428)

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ 18  وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ 19  كِتَٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ 20  يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ 21  إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ 22  عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ 23  تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 24

18.  Kallaaa  ‘inna  Kitaabal-‘Abraari  lafii  'Illiy-yiin.  19.  Wa  maaa  ‘adraaka  maa  'Illiy-yuun.  20.  Kitaabum-marquum.  21.  Yash-hadu-hul-Muqarra-buun.  22.  ‘Innal-‘Abraara  lafii  Na-'iim.  23.  'Alal-‘araaa-'iki  yanzuruun.  24.  Ta'-rifu  fii  wujuuhi-him  nazra-tan-Na-'iim.

18. Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin -  19. Ah, what will convey unto you what 'Illiyin is! -  20. A written record,  21. Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord).  22. Lo! the righteous verily are in delight,  23. On couches, gazing,  24. You will know in their faces the radiance of delight.

It is commanded: The righteous and the wrongdoers can never be equal. The condition of the wrongdoers was explained in previous verses. Now there is description concerning those who believed and did good works. Their Character Rolls are saved in “'Illiy-yiin” (a higher place). {It is (their destination recorded in) a Register Inscribed}, which is witnessed by those brought near to Allaah Almighty. Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure on the Day of Resurrection, sitting on adorned couches and observing the beautiful scenes of the Gardens. Everyone, who will see them, will recognise in their faces the radiance of pleasure. Their condition will be entirely different from those who were involved in wicked deeds during their worldly life. Such people will be unlucky. Beautiful scenes of the Paradise and the Presence of Allaah Almighty will be concealed from them. Righteous believers will be enjoying due to their good works.
