Introduction of “He Frowned” (L-3408)
This is Eightieth Chapter of Holy Qur’an according to order, which was revealed during initial time of stay at Makkah. It has been described in this Chapter that none can be praiseworthy by being rich or famous. Such mankind is praiseworthy only who thinks about own correction and tries to learn good things.
Once, some great people of Qureish gathered at a place who were very rich and well-known, the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) was explaining beauties of Islam before them, for the purpose that perhaps they understand that “the mankind can arrange his life of the both worlds by choosing the only way of Islam”, and that if they embraced Islam, other common people also would become Muslims in their imitation and they will mould their lives according to the principles of Holy Qur’an, and that by means of them Islam will become famous everywhere”.
The Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) was busy in conversation with them when meanwhile a blind man, named Ibne Umme Maktum, came to him unhesitatingly and began to say: O Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Tell me about those commandments which Allaah Almighty has described to you, so that I may act upon them after understanding and be successful near Allaah Almighty. He had embraced Islam and then he was desirous to understand it well. His arrival at such occasion was unpleasant to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), because he began to talk immediately as soon as he reached, and the chain of Messenger’s conversation with the chieftains of Qureish was broken. By it, effects of anger appeared on the face of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).
At that time, this Chapter was revealed, in which it was commanded: That person deserves your immediate attention who has embraced Islam and has come for understanding the principles of Islam, although he is not a rich. You must teach him basics of Islam, because hopefully he will reap advantage from it. Condition of those, to whom you desire to admit in Islam, is it that you don’t know that whether they will accept or reject your invitation. Presently they are away from Islam. That person can be of chaste habits who has accepted Islam. How can he be chaste who has not accepted Islam so far? First effort must be to guide a Muslim, then a non-Muslim may be tried to make Muslim by causing to understand.
In this connection, such matters have been manifested which a Muslim should understand thoroughly first of all, because till the time a Muslim does not understand himself, how can he explain before others. Those matters are:
1.
Know Allaah Almighty by meditating in the Signs of His
Divine Power. He created the mankind and made entire arrangements of his
dwelling in the world.
2. Do such works in the world; for which He has commanded to do because it is compulsory for getting success in the Court of Allaah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection.
3.
Do not commit those works; which are forbidden by Him.
