The Aim of Qur’an (L-3410)

كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ 11  فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ 12  فِى صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ 13  مَّرْفُوعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍۭ 14  بِأَيْدِى سَفَرَةٍ 15  كِرَامٍۭ بَرَرَةٍ 16  قُتِلَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَآ أَكْفَرَهُۥ 17  مِنْ أَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ 18  مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ 19  ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ 20  ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ 21

11.  Kallaaa  ‘innahaa  Tazkirah. 12.  Fa-man  shaaa-‘a  zakarah. 13.  Fii  suhufim-mukarramah. 14.  Marfuu-'atim-mutahharah. 15.  Bi-'aydii  safarah. 16.  Kiraamim-  bararah. 17.  Qutilal-‘insaanu  maaa  ‘akfarah. 18.  Min  ‘ayyi  shat-‘in  Khalaqah. 19.  Min-nutfah.  Khalaqahuu  fa-qaddarah. 20.  Summas-sabiila  yassarah. 21.  Summa  ‘amaatahuu  fa-‘aqbarah.

11. Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 12. So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 13. On honoured leaves 14. Exalted, purified, 15. (Set down) by scribes 16. Noble and righteous. 17. Man is (self-) destroyed: how ungrateful! 18. From what thing does He create him? 19. From a drop of seed. He creates him and proportiones him, 20. Then makes the way easy for him, 21. Then causes him to die, and buries him;

It is commanded: Recite this Qur’an before every mankind without partiality. It is not for causing the people to hear by flattering. Moreover, you must recite it thoroughly and explain its meanings before the person who strives himself for listening to it, because it is hoped that he will reap advantage from it. Your responsibility is to recite the Holy Qur’an and explain its meanings before the person who desires to hear and understand, not before them who do not care. Let them do their work. Attend to them who listen to it carefully and desire to act upon its Commandments. There is no compulsion on any human being, whether someone abides by its instructions or otherwise. This is a Reminder and Guide Book for the entire mankind. Every such person can reap advantage from it who desires. This is a very sacred and holy Book, recorded in honoured Sheets and saved in Lawh Mahfuz (A Table on which the destinies of the world since its creation are written). The angels (peace be upon them), who are very pious and honoured, copy it from that place. And then O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! They convey it to you. It will be bad luck of the mankind if he will not give it importance properly. Allaah Almighty has produced the mankind from a drop of sperm and bestowed great virtues. Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. Human beings should fear their Lord.
