Chapter “MUTAFFIFIIN” – (Defrauding) - 83
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ 1 ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ 2 وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ 3 أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ 4 لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ 5 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ 6 |

1.. Waylul-lil-MUTAFFIFIIN. 2.. ‘AllazIIna ‘izak-taaluu 'alan-naasi yastawfuun. 3.. Wa ‘izaa kaaluuhum ‘aw-wazanuuhum yukhsiruun. 4.. ‘Alaa yazunnu ‘ulaaa-'ika ‘annahum-mab-'uusuuna. 5.. Li-Yawmin-'Aziim. 6. Yawma
yaquumun-naasu
li-Rab-bil-'Aalamiin. |

1. Woe
unto the defrauders: 2. Those
who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full, 3. But
if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 4. Do
such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 5. Unto
an Awful Day, 6. The
day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds? |
It is commanded: The people, who take a measure from other people in full, but when they give by measure or by weight to others, they cause loss. They will be entangled in heavy calamity. It is better in favour of them that as they take full in measure, they should give also full by measure or by weight justly. They should care in this matter that after death they will be brought back to life again and be produced in the Court of their Lord. Then they will be questioned: Why had you been involved every time in benefiting to yourselves only and filling up your treasures by harming other people? Did you not think that you will be resurrected? Did you not know that as the Creator of the entire world was your Lord, like this He was the Lord of the entire universe also?
You will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection if you will violate in the rights of others that why did you commit injustice? How did you consider that you can do as you wish, no one will ask from you? This is the summary of the teachings of Holy Qur’an, that is to say, you must avoid wicked deeds due to fear of Allaah Almighty, otherwise you will be punished very severely.
