Etiquettes of meeting (L-3085)

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱمْتَحَنَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ 3 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَآءِ ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ 4 وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ صَبَرُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 5 |

3. ‘Innallaziina yaguzzuuna ‘aswaatahum 'inda RasuuLillaahi ‘ulaaa-'ikal-laziinam-tahanAllaahu quluubahum littaqwaa. Lahum-Magfiratunw-wa ‘Ajrun 'aziim. 4. ‘Innallaziina yunaaduunaka minw-waraaa-'il-HUJURAATI ‘aksaruhum laa ya'-qiluun. 5. Wa
law ‘annahum sabaruu
hatta takhruja ‘ilayhim
lakaana khayrallahum.
Wallaahu Gafuurur-Rahiim. |

3. Lo!
They who subdue their voices in the presence of the messenger of Allah, those
are they whose hearts Allah has proven unto righteousness. Theirs will be
forgiveness and immense reward. 4. Lo!
Those who call you from behind the private apartments, most of them have no
sense. 5. And
if they had patience till you came forth unto them, it had been better for
them. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
'Al-HUJURAATI – (the chambers, the private apartments),
It is commanded: Those who lower their voices respectfully before the Messenger of Allaah (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) - they are the ones whose hearts Allaah Almighty has tested for righteousness. Their sins and errors will be forgiven. For them is a great reward. The people used to come from outside the Township and often shout (from behind the chamber): O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! Come out! We have come to see you (during his presence in his chamber)!
Concerning them it is commanded: Most of them
do not know Etiquette of meeting. Say to them: Give up your rudeness and when
you come for meeting with the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him), you must have patience until he comes out to you, speak with one
another politely and with low voice. It would be better for you. Calling loudly
to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) from outside
of the chamber is incivility. However if you committed as it unknowingly, Allaah
Almighty is Forgiving and Merciful. But in future you must be careful and do as
directed.
