The End of the Both (L-3050)
|
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ وَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ 12 وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ هِىَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِّن قَرْيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ 13 |

12. ‘InnAllaaha yudkhilul-laziina ‘aamanuu wa 'amilus-saalihaati Jannaatin tajrii min- tahtihal- ‘anhaar. Wallaziina kafaruu yatamatta-'uuna wa ya'-kuluuna kamaa ta'-kulul-‘an-'aamu wan-Naaru maswal-lahum. 13. Wa
ka-‘ayyim-min- qaryatin hiya
‘ashaddu quwwatam-min qaryatikal- latiii ‘akhrajatk.
‘AhlakNaa-hum falaa naasira
lahum. |

12. Lo!
Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens
underneath which rivers flow; while those who disbelieve take their comfort
in this life and eat even as the cattle eat, and the Fire is their
habitation. 13. And
how many a township stronger than your township (O Muhammad) which has cast you
out, have We destroyed, and they had no helper! |
Earlier
it was commanded: Allaah Almighty will improve the state of His obedient
people in this world and in the Hereafter. And those who disbelieve, misfortune
and perdition is for them.
In
this verse, it is being promised with them who obey His Commandments, in which
there is no doubt: The people who believe and do good works, We shall admit
them in such Gardens beneath which rivers flow.
And it is said to the disbelievers: Reap full advantages from worldly goods, eat and drink blindly like animals. You will get nothing in the Hereafter and your abode will be Hell.
After
that, it has been described to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon him): People of Makkah compelled you to leave your township.
They are proud of their power and strength. They do not understand that they
will soon have to taste these excesses. We have destroyed many townships before
them. Those townships were stronger than these. We ruined them and there was no helper for them.
