Wrongdoers (L-3034)
|
وَٱلَّذِى قَالَ لِوَٰلِدَيْهِ أُفٍّ لَّكُمَآ أَتَعِدَانِنِىٓ أَنْ أُخْرَجَ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ ٱلْقُرُونُ مِن قَبْلِى وَهُمَا يَسْتَغِيثَانِ ٱللَّهَ وَيْلَكَ ءَامِنْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 17 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ 18 |

17. Wallazii qaala liwaali-dayhi ‘uffil-lakumaaa -a-ta-'idaaniniii ‘an ‘ukhraja wa qad khalatil-quruunu min- qablii. Wa humaa yastagiisaa-Nillaaha waylaka ‘aamin! ‘Inna wa'-Dallaahi haqq. Fayaquulu maa haazaaa ‘illaaa ‘asaatiirul-‘awwaliin. 18. ‘Ulaaa-'ikallaziina haqqa
'alayhimul-Qawlu fiii ‘umamin-
qad khalat min-
qablihim-minal-Jinni wal-‘ins. ‘Innahum
kaanuu khaasiriin. |

17. And
whoso says unto his parents: Fie upon you both! Do you threaten me that I
shall be brought forth (again) when generations before me have passed away?
And they twain cry unto Allah for help (and say): Woe unto you! Believe! Lo!
The promise of Allah is true. But he says: This is naught save fables of the
men of old: 18. Such
are those on whom the Word concerning nations of the jinn and mankind which
have passed away before them has effect. Lo! They are the losers. |
It is commanded: There is such a man who does neither care his father and mother; notwithstanding their so much favors and kindnesses, and nor knows Allaah Almighty. He deals with his parents harshly and says: I don’t like your way of life. Do you teach me that I shall come out alive from my grave after death, though the people have been dying since long, but none of them came out living from his grave till today?
His parents call to Allaah Almighty for help after looking misconduct of their son with them, and say to their son, "Woe to you! Listen to and believe in Allaah Almighty immediately! Indeed, the Promise of Allaah is true." But he replies, "This is not but legends of the former people"
It is commanded: Such people are included among
the disbelievers and are ones upon whom the Word concerning nations of
the jinn and mankind, who have passed away before them, has come into effect. Indeed, they all were losers and there will be
nothing for them in the next life but afflictions and pains.
