Wicked deeds of Infidels (L-3077)

هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱلْهَدْىَ مَعْكُوفًا أَن يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُۥ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُّؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَآءٌ مُّؤْمِنَٰتٌ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَن تَطَـُٔوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُم مِّنْهُم مَّعَرَّةٌۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ 25a |

25a. Humullaziina kafaruu
wa sad-duukum 'anil-Masjidil-Haraami wal-hadya
ma'-kuufan ‘any-yablugha mahillah.
Wa law-laa
rijaalum-Mu'-minuuna wa nisaaa-'um-Mu'-minaatul-lam ta'-lamuuhum ‘an tata-'uu-hum
fatusiibakum-minhum-ma-'arra-tum-
bigayri 'ilm. Li-yud-khilAllaahu fii
RahmatiHii many- yashaaa'. |

25a. These
it was who disbelieved and debarred you from the Inviolable Place of Worship,
and debarred the offering from reaching its goal. And if it had not been for
believing men and believing women, whom you know not - lest you should tread
them under foot and thus incur guilt for them unknowingly; that Allah might
bring into His mercy whom He will - |
It is commanded: The people of Makkah gripped up their loins on disbelief and O Muslims! They obstructed you from ‘al-Masjid- ‘al-Haraam (the Inviolable Place of Worship in Makkah) including the offering was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. These entire are their wicked deeds. We would have permitted you for fighting against them, but some believing men and believing women live in Makkah, to whom you know not. The danger was that you might trample them unknowingly and would be grieved because of them that you killed own brothers without knowledge.
It is the reason that We did not command you to
fight and the event of mutual Peace Treaty of Hydaybiyyah happened. Its
one benefit would be that; on one side the Muslims will be saved from being
slain; by the Mercy of Allaah Almighty, and on the other side; many of
the disbelievers will embrace Islam; to whom Allaah wills during the
Peace Treaty. Allaah Almighty brings into His Mercy whom He wills.
