God’s Dignity of hiding sins (L-3059)
|
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَأَرَيْنَٰكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم بِسِيمَٰهُمْ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِى لَحْنِ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ 30 وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَعْلَمَ ٱلْمُجَٰهِدِينَ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَا۟ أَخْبَارَكُمْ 31 |

30. Wa law Nashaaa-'u la-‘aray-Naa-kahum fala-'araftahum- bi-siimaahum. Wa lata'-rifan-nahum fii lahnil- qawl. Wallaahu ya'-lamu ‘a'-maalakum. 31. Wa
lanabluwannakum hattaa na'-lamal-mujaahidiina minkum
wassaabiriina wa nabluwa
‘akhbaarakum. |

30. And if We would, We could show them unto you (Muhammad) so that you should know them surely by their marks. And you shall know them by the burden of their talk. And Allah knows your deeds. 31. And verily We shall try you till We know those of you
who strive hard (for the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till We test
your record. |
Allaah Almighty does not manifest sins and imperfections of anyone upon others, but at that time when there is any advisability, for example, for saving the righteous people from evils. Then He warns them according to necessity.
It was commanded previously: These hypocrites must not be haughty that they will be able to hide themselves always from their enmity with Muslims and by living among them; they will inform their enemies about their circumstances.
In this verse it is commanded: If We desire, We can betray their secrets and you know them as soon as you look at them, and their state become obvious upon all. Even then, you see their faces as such you know them easily that they are hypocrites. Moreover, it appears from their way of talking that they are not sincere, because sincere people can be known from their conversation easily. However Allaah Almighty wills to keep secrets of all in the world, otherwise He knows everyone’s every work and thought whether that is apparent or hidden.
After that it is commanded: The aim is not to blame someone in
the world, but trial of every individual is required, that who are ready to
sacrifice their lives for the cause of Allaah Almighty and who have
patience in hardships and calamities. He wills to disclose correct
circumstances of every individual and that must come in front what is hidden in
one’s heart.
