What a cowardice on time? (L-3054)

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ 20 طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ 21 |

20. Wa yaquulul-laziina ‘aamanuu law-laa nuzzilat Suurah. Fa’-izaaa ‘unzilat Suuratum- Muh-ka-matunw-wa zukira fiihal- qitaalu, ra-‘aytal-laziina fii quluubihim- marazuny- yanzuruuna ‘ilayka nazaral- magshiyyi 'alayhi minal- mawt. Fa-'awlaa lahum. 21. Taa-'atunw-wa qawlum-ma'-ruuf. Fa-‘izaa 'azamal-‘amr. Falaw
sadaQullaaha lakaana khayral-lahum. |

20. And
those who believe say: If only a surah were revealed! But when a
decisive surah is revealed and war is mentioned therein, you see those
in whose hearts is a disease looking at you with the look of men fainting
unto death. Therefor woe unto them! 21. Obedience
and a civil word. Then, when the matter is determined, if they are loyal to
Allah it will be well for them. |
Such people have been frightened in this verse who become timid during adversity. It is commanded: Those who believe; say being distressed when refractory people of Makkah molest them: Would that we had been permitted to fight and we would have punished these tormentors, because at that time they were not permitted to fight.
After that when, a precise Surah (Chapter) was revealed and fighting was mentioned therein, those in whose hearts was hypocrisy; they began to look at the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) with a look of one overcome by death.
Say to them: It is sign of your misfortune. The
Believers obey the Commands of Allaah Almighty and say good words
always. Why are you cowardice now? At first those Believers will fight in
Battle who are brave and courageous. However, if they have to fight at the time
of necessity, then it would be better for such people to fight and show
themselves true to Allaah Almighty instead of turning away. Belief in Allaah
Almighty desires His obedience, although you are slain in His Way.
