29b. The mark of them is on their foreheads from
the traces of prostration. Such is their likeness in the Torah and their
likeness in the Gospel - like as sown corn that sends forth its shoot and
strengthens it and rises firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers - that He
may enrage the disbelievers with (the sight of) them. Allah has promised,
unto such of them as believe and do good works, forgiveness and immense
reward. |
It is commanded: The countenances of those people have become bright due to traces of prostrations in the Prayers who are with the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon them). It is the reason that they (the believers) can be known clearly from afar. Their such likeness has been described in Torah and Gospel. And their description is as a tillage (crop) that at first; after sowing the seed; stalk bursts, then it grows and becomes strong, even the entire crop becomes green, delighting the sower - so it enrages the enemies.
After that, it is commanded: These people who
believe in Allaah Almighty and do righteous works, He has promised that
their entire errors and omissions, sins and wrong deeds will be forgiven and
for them is a great reward.
