It was a good luck (L-3078)

لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا۟ لَعَذَّبْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا 25b  إِذْ جَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًا 26

25b.  Law  tazayyaluu  la-'azzabNal-laziina  kafaruu  minhum  'azaaban  ‘aliima. 26.  ‘Iz  ja-'alallaziina  kafaruu  fii  quluubihimul- hamiyyata  Hamiyyatal- Jaahi-liyyati  fa-‘anzalAllaahu  Sakiinatahuu  'alaa  RasuuliHii  wa  'alal-Mu’-miniina  wa  ‘alzamahum  kalimatat-taqwaa  wa  kaanuuu  ‘ahaqqa  bihaa  wa  ‘ahlahaa.  Wa kaanAllaahu  bi-kulli  shay-'in  ‘Aliimaa.  (Section 3/11)

25b.  If (the believers and the disbelievers) had been clearly separated We verily had punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment. 26. When those who disbelieve had set up in their hearts zealotry, the zealotry of the Age of Ignorance, then Allah sent down His peace of reassurance upon His messenger and upon the believers and imposed on them the word of self-restraint, for they were worthy of it and meet for it. And Allah is Aware of all things.

It is commanded: If the Muslims of Makkah had not been living among the disbelievers, then We would have permitted you to go and destroy the idolaters, and We would have sent upon them painful torment because they crossed the line of ignorance and stubbornness, and desired that the Muslims might agree to their terms in “the Peace Treaty”, that is to say, “Go back this year, come here again next year for performing Umrah (little Pilgrimage), stay not more than three days, write not BisMillaah (in the Name of Allaah) on the Peace Treaty and do not increase RasuuLullaah (the Messenger of Allaah) along with your name etc. These words could produce anger in the hearts of the Muslims, but We produced tranquility in their hearts.

Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) agreed to entire terms of the people of Makkah, and Allaah Almighty imposed upon the Muslims the word of righteousness and abstinence because they deserved it. And only they could do it. Accordingly, We guided them and they did the same. Allaah Almighty is Well Aware of everything and knows all apparent and hidden matters.
