Conduct with Qur’an (L-3028)

7. And
when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say of
the Truth when it reacheth them: This is mere magic. 8. Or
say they: He has invented it? Say (O Muhammad): If I have invented it, still
you have no power to support me against Allah. He is Best Aware of what you
say among yourselves concerning it. He suffices for a witness between me and
you. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. |
It is commanded: When Our Revelations are recited before them, clear Truth is disclosed and they feel its impression on their hearts, then they who have gripped up their loins to deny; say for evading: This is obvious magic. They do not find any reasonable excuse for disbelieving it. Some of them begin to say: He himself (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) has invented these verses and says that these are sent by Allaah Almighty.
Say to them: I cannot have so much courage
before Allaah Almighty. None including you can protect me from His wrath
if I do so. Like this, He is most knowing of the deception, tricks and excuses
in which you are involved. I present His Evidence that I have been speaking the
Truth and it is from Him. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you. He
will forgive if you avoid such conduct. It is His Kindness that you are still
safe and sound from destruction in spite of your such arrogance. When the time
of punishment will come, then the liars will be overtaken by whole misfortune.
