1. O
you who believe! Be not froward in the presence of Allah and His messenger,
and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower. 2. O
you who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor
shout when speaking to him as you shout one to another, lest your works be
rendered vain while you perceive not. |
After the Victory of Makkah, the tribes of Arab began to come in the service of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) during ninth year of Hijrah and embrace Islam. This Chapter was revealed during those days, which taught; them and common Muslims; etiquettes and ways of being present before the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and meeting with him, and described how to behave with one another mutually.
Accordingly, first of all, it is being commanded to the Muslims:
Don’t give your opinion before Allaah Almighty and His Messenger (grace,
glory, blessings and peace be upon him); particularly when any dispute is
produced before the Messenger for judgment. Fear the wrath of Allaah
Almighty considering that - He hears your all conversations, is the Knower and
the Seer of your entire circumstances. Your affairs cannot be correct until you
fear Him. Do not raise your voices above the
voice of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some
of you to others, lest his voice may not be heard. Be very careful lest your
deeds become worthless and you lose your good deeds, while you perceive
not.
