Behaviour with one another (L-3090)

بِئْسَ ٱلِٱسْمُ ٱلْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ 11b  يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا۟ وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ 12

11b.  Bi'-sal-‘ismul-fusuuqu  ba'-dal-‘Ii\emaan.  Wa  mal-lam  yatub  fa-‘ulaaa-'ika  humuz-zaalimuun. 12.  Yaaa-‘ayyuhal-laziina  ‘aamanuj- tanibuu  kasiiram-minaz-zanni,  ‘inna  ba'-zaz- zanni  ‘ismunw-wa  laa  tajassasuu  wa  laa yagtab- ba'-zukum  ba'-zaa. ‘A-yuhibbu  ‘ahadukum  ‘any-ya’-kula  lahma  ‘akhiihi  maytan  fakarih-tumuuh.  WattaqUllaa.  ‘InnAllaaha  Tawwaabur-Rahiim.

11b.  Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turns not in repentance, such are evil-doers. 12. O you who believe! Shun much suspicion; for lo! Some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful.

Behold! How bad it is to cause to say oneself a vagabond or a rascal, being a Muslim? Refrain from wicked deeds. Whoever do not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

Then it is commanded: Don’t think that everyone is bad! Have good presumptions concerning everyone. Some probabilities reach the stage of a sin. When any dispute or persecution grows by it; and most of the disputes are produced by such bad presumptions, you must not trace the circumstances of one another mutually yourselves for threatening that you will betray one’s secrets, so that by it you may reap some advantage. It is meanness and backbiting, which is like eating the flesh of one’s brother when dead. You would detest it.

Remember! Satan has been running behind you every time and desires to keep you involved in wrong deeds. Fear the wrath of Allaah Almighty; considering that He is Present and has been Watching, otherwise there is no form of escaping from evil deeds. Remember it also that Allaah Almighty accepts repentance of those who repent and bestows His Mercy to the repentant.
