1. The
Beneficent 2. Has
made known the Qur'an. 3. He
has created man. 4. He
has taught him utterance. 5. The
sun and the moon are made punctual. 6. The
stars and the trees adore. 7. And
the sky He has uplifted; and He has set the measure, 8. That
you exceed not the measure, 9. But
observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 10. And
the earth has He appointed for (His) creatures, 11. Wherein
are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 12. Husked
grain and scented herb. 13. Which
is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny? |
It is commanded: Allaah is the Most Merciful, Who taught the Qur`an, created the mankind and taught him how to speak. He created the sun and the moon, which move by precise calculation, and the stars. He is the Creator of small and large trees which prostrate before Him and abide by His Rules. He created the heaven, raised it and imposed its balance; so that you also do not transgress within the balance; but establish weight in justice and do not make the balance deficient. He laid out the earth for the creatures, therein is fruit and palm-trees having sheaths of dates, and produced grain having husks and scented plants. So O mankind and the Jinn! Which of the favours of your Lord would you deny?
