Benefits of the Sea (L-3161)

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ 22  فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 23  وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ 24  فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 25 كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ 26  وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ 27  فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 28

22.  Yakhruju  minhumal-Lu’- lu-‘u  wal-Marjaan. 23.  Fabi-‘ayyi  ‘aalaaa-'i  Rab-bikumaa  tukaz-zibaan. 24.  Wa  lahul-Jawaaril-mun- sha-'aatu  fil-bahri  kal-‘a'-laam. (Part One-Half) 25.  Fabi-‘ayyi  ‘aalaaa-'i  Rab-bikumaa  tukaz-zibaan. (Section – 1/11) 26.  Kullu  man  'alayhaa  faan. 27.  Wa  yabqaa  Wajhu  Rabbika  Zul-Jalaali  wal-‘Ikraam. 28.  Fabi-‘ayyi  ‘aalaaa-'i  Rab-bikumaa  tukaz-zibaan.

22. There comes forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 23. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny ? 24. His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 25. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny? 26. Everyone that is thereon will pass away; 27. There remains but the Countenance of your Lord of Might and Glory. 28. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny?

Human beings involve in apparent things of the world and say: It is of mine and useful for me, so I shall try to possess it and will not let someone else take this thing, but when he will ask for it. This is the thought which will be cause of mankind’s destruction at the end. Holy Qur’an desires that human beings should not think so. It describes that entire things are created by Allaah Almighty. O mankind! Know your Lord by meditating in these things and begin to worship Him. In this Chapter, it particularly has been emphasised that whatsoever exists, is created by Allaah Almighty for the benefit of the mankind. After reaping advantage from the things, one should acknowledge the kindness of one’s Lord and be thankful to Him.

It is commanded: Pearls and coral-stones emerge from the sea and the river. Big ships float on them like mounts. O mankind! All such things are useful for you, but you must remember your Lord and must not give importance to worldly things. A Day will come when everything of the world will be over except Majesty and Honour of Allaah Almighty.
