Introduction of Chapter “The Moon”

Introduction of Chapter “The Moon” (L-3147)

With regard to arrangement, this is fifty-fourth Chapter of Holy Qur’an, which was revealed during the beginning days of Islam in Makkah. It has three Sections. It has been described in this Chapter that the Day of Resurrection is inevitable which shall come certainly. Its final Sign is that the moon will split in two. It is astonishing that portents are shown to the people again and again, but they ignore by saying that it is magic. And they follow own desires.

O ignorant: The time for every work has been fixed and every occurrence shall happen certainly at the determined time. O Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): You must turn away from such people who deny the Truth. When the Day of Judgment will come, entire dead bodies of mankind will rise from their burial places and spread like a large army of locusts. They will run towards the caller’s voice for being present in the Court of Allaah Almighty. During running; they will say: Today is very hard. But alas! In the world they are careless and have been involved in their businesses so much that they don’t care any other. But at last they cannot prosper. Ancient people falsified Our Commandments and were punished. If these too continued falsifying, would be punished.

Behold! The people of the folk of Noah (peace be upon him) disobeyed him. They were caused to understand for a long time, but they did not feel. Consequently, a vigorous water-storm came and all disobedient people were drowned. The believers were saved by the ship prepared by Noah (peace be upon him). These people should take a warning from their circumstances. Holy Qur’an has explained clearly. Who desires to admit the truth, must believe.

After Noah (peace be upon him), there is mention of the tribe of Aad. They also disobeyed their Prophet Hud (peace be upon him). A raging wind was loosened on them, which swept the people away and hurled them down. So they all were destroyed. After them the people of Thamud got ready to rebel like them. They rejected warnings of Our Prophet Salih (peace be upon him). Consequently one Shout was sent upon them, their gall-bladders exploded and they died.

Then the people of the folk of Lot (peace be upon him) also were tormented. He (peace be upon him) warned them again and again that they should give up wrong deeds otherwise they would be slain, but they ignored. Angels (peace be upon them) came in the forms of men. They got ready to trouble them. At last, Lot (peace be upon him) was ordered to leave the township at night along with members of his family. In the morning, their townships were uprooted and stones were thrown upon them. Like this, Pharaoh gripped up his loins to rebel. He slighted the admonition of Moses and Aaron (peace be upon them). At last he was drowned in the sea along with his Armies.

Commandments of Holy Qur’an are very clear. Certainly the Day of Resurrection will come. Retribution of every individual’s deeds will be given. Believers, who will do good works, will be promoted in the Paradise.
