Other criminal nations (L-3118)

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ 41 مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ 42 وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ 43 فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ 44 فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ 45 وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ 46 |

41. Wa fii 'Aadin ‘iz ‘arsalNaa 'alay-himur-Riihal-'aqiim. 42. Maa tazaru min- shay-'in ‘atat 'alayhi ‘illaa ja-'alat-hu karramiim. 43. Wa fii Samuuda ‘iz qiila lahum tamatta-''uu hattaa hiin. 44. Fa-'ataw 'an ‘amri Rabbihim fa-‘akhazat-humus-saa-'iqatu wa hum yanzuruun. 45. Famas-tataa-'uu min- qiyaa-minw-wa maa kaanuu muntasiriin. 46. Wa
qawma Nuuhim-min qabl. ‘Innahum
kaanuu qawman- faasiqiin. (Section 2/1) |

41. And
in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal
wind against them. 42. It
spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 43. And
in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them:
Take your ease awhile. 44. But
they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook
them even while they gazed; 45. And
they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 46. And
the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! They were licentious folk. |
It is commanded: Knowing Allaah Almighty is easy if we meditate in the Signs of His Divine Power. Those who were admonished but they did not believe in Allaah Almighty, their end was not good. The folk of Aad were very refractory. There is a lesson for the disobedient in that what happened with the people of Aad. We sent upon them winnowing winds due to their wicked deeds, in which there was nothing but destruction and ruin. The wind made everything like disintegrated ruins and all people of Aad were removed from the world. Like them, the consequence of the folk of Thamud was also very bad. They were informed: Do whatsoever you desire to do within three days. If you did not change yourselves, then you would be punished very severely.
Those unlucky people ignored the Command of Allaah
Almighty and became more arrogant. So the thunderbolt seized them and all of
them died without defending themselves, while they were looking on. Before them
We destroyed the people of Noah (peace be upon him) also. They too gripped up
their loins to disobey.
