Give up your desires (L-3138)
|
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ 23b أَمْ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ 24 فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ 25 (ع) وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ لَا تُغْنِى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ ٱللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَرْضَىٰٓ 26 |

23b. Wa laqad jaaa-'ahum-mir-Rabbihimul-Hudaa. 24. ‘Am lil-‘insaani maa tamannaa. 25. Fa-Lillaahil-‘Aakhiratu wal-‘uulaa. (Section 1/5) 26. Wa
kam-mim-malakin
fis-samaawaati laa tugnii
shafaa-'atuhum shay-'an ‘illaa
mim- ba'-di ‘any-ya’-zanAllaahu li-many-yashaaa-'u wa
yarzaa. |

23b. And now the guidance from their Lord has
come unto them. 24. Or
shall man have what he covets? 25. But
unto Allah belongs the after (life), and the former. 26. And
how many angels are in the heavens whose intercession avails naught save
after Allah gives leave to whom He chooses and accepts. |
It is commanded: Whatever these people and before them their forefathers sinned, was due to their ignorance and carelessness. They did not find any Guide for showing them right path and they used to do as they desired. But now they should awake from the dream of ignorance. Now they do not have any excuse that they remain involved in wrong deeds, because their Lord has sent guidance. Allaah Almighty gave Holy Qur’an to His last Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and commanded that he must recite the Word of Allaah Almighty before them and show them practically by acting upon its Commandments.
Will they say even then that these goddesses will support and
help them? Say to them: The matter is not it that there
will be for mankind whatever he thinks or wishes. Listen! All such are false
thoughts and baseless matters. Owner of everything is Allaah Almighty.
Whatsoever will any individual receive; will be given to him by the Grace and
Kindness of Allaah Almighty. And only He will bestow on the Day of
Resurrection whatever the mankind will find. Your thought that “you cannot
reach Him directly, your self-invented gods will intercede for you in His Court
and cause something to put in your possession” is your misunderstanding. How
many angels (peace be upon them) there are in the heavens whose intercession
will not avail at all. Even they also can intercede only for whom they are
permitted and from whom Allaah Almighty wills and desires that
intercession for him must be heard.
