Consequence of disobedience (L-3150)

فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ 11  وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ 12  وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍ وَدُسُرٍ 13  تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءً لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ 14  وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةً فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ 15  فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ 16

11.  Fafatah-Naaa  ‘abwaabas-samaaa-'i  bi-maaa-'im-munhamir. 12.  Wa  fajjarNal- ‘arza  'uyuunan  faltaqal- maaa-'u  'alaaa ‘amrin- qad qudir. 13.  Wa hamalNaahu 'alaa zaati  ‘alwaahinw-wa  dusur. 14.  Tajrii  bi-‘a'-yuniNaa  Jazaaa-'al-liman-  kaana  kufir. 15.  Wa  laqat-tarakNaaaa  ‘Aayatan  fahal  mim-muddakir. 16.  Fakayfa  kaana  'Azaabii  wa  Nuzur.

11. Then opened We the gates of heaven with pouring water 12. And caused the earth to gush forth springs, so that the waters met for a predestined purpose. 13. And We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails, 14. That ran (upon the waters) in Our sight, as a reward for him who was rejected. 15. And verily We left it as a token; but is there any that remembers? 16. Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings!

It is commanded: When Noah (peace be upon him) cried out before Us; being helpless against obstinacy and stubbornness of the people of his folk, We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down, and caused the earth to burst with springs of water. The waters met and the earth became like a Sea. All human beings and things were drowned but only Noah (peace be upon him) and his believers were saved by a ship; which was already fabricated with big planks and nails according to Our guidance. We kept remained the mention of that ship and storm for remembrance, so that the people should take warning from it. Is there any seeker of guidance who must consider that such is the way of My Doom and frightening, and being afraid; and who must obey My Commandments?
