The Creation (L-3160)

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ 14 وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ 15 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 16 رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ 17 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 18 مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ 19 بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ 20 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 21 |

14. Khalaqal-‘insaana min- sal-saalin kal-fakhkhaar. 15. Wa khalaqal-Jaaanna mim-maarijim-min-Naar. 16. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaaa-'i Rab-bikumaa tukaz-zibaan. 17. Rabbul-Mashri-qayni wa Rabbul-Magribayn. 18. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaaa-'i Rab-bikumaa tukaz-zibaan. 19. Marajal- bah-rayni yalta-qiyaan. 20. Batnahumaa Barzakhul- laa yabgi-yaan. 21. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaaa-'i
Rab-bikumaa tukaz-zibaan. |

14. He
created man of clay like the potter's, 15. And
the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 16. Which
is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny? 17. Lord
of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 18. Which
is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny? 19. He
has loosed the two seas. They meet. 20. There
is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 21. Which
is it, of the favours of your Lord, that you deny? |
Allaah Almighty has created the mankind and the Jinn for the purpose that they should worship Him. It has been described in Chapter 51, verse 56 “Wa maa Khalaqtul-Jinna wal-‘insa ‘illaa li-ya’-buduun.” {And I (Allaah) have not created the Jinn and the mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)}. Worship means “falling prostrate before Allaah Almighty after knowing Him”. The heavens, the earth and whatsoever is between them, everything is a perfect Sign for those who meditate into them that all such things are created by Allaah Almighty for their benefits. And whatever has been happening, its aim is that after observing His Divine Power, the Jinn and the mankind should admit Him and after having belief in Him, they should dwell in the world according to His Will and Commandments.
Creation of mankind and the Jinn are from separate things.
Mankind is created from clay like that of
pottery, and the Jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. Allaah Almighty
causes the sun to rise and set from different places for making seasonal
changes, so that different things may be produced from the land according to
every season. He caused to flow two seas, meeting side by side; between them is
a barrier, so none of them transgresses. Taste of both waters is different from
each other. One has sweet water and the other has salty water, which do not mix
up, so that we may reap advantage from the both. The same has been indicated in
the verse. These entire are Blessings of Allaah Almighty. So we should
be thankful to Him.
