51. And
(the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 52. And
the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 53. And
Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 54. So
that there covered them that which did cover. 55. Concerning
which then, of the bounties of your Lord, can you dispute? |
It is commanded: When Thamud, ({the people who are called ‘Aad ‘Ukhraa, because they rose up after destruction of the tribe of ‘Aad (first) and began to rebel like them}, chose the same way, then Allaah Almighty appointed His Messenger to Salih (peace be upon him) and sent for warning to them. But when they disregarded, Allaah Almighty punished them due to their rebellion and destroyed them. No one from them was saved.
Like this, Allaah Almighty did not spare the folk of Noah (peace be upon him), before the tribe of Thamud, punished and destroyed them because they were wrongdoers. The people of the folk of Noah (peace be upon him) troubled and molested always to him. These were the people who made difference in grades of human beings among themselves. Rich people became superior and considered that laborers and workers were mean. It was their first crime. Most of them were stubborn and headstrong also.
After that it is commanded: The people of the
folk of Lot (peace be upon him) were even more unjust and oppressing. Allaah
Almighty overturned, hurled down their townships and caused stones to rain upon
them. They were ruined. Purifying the world from the mischievous is a great
blessing of your Lord because standing firm of the world without it is
impossible. You can arrange your worldly life and the life of the Hereafter by
doing good works. If they were not destroyed, you would not have been. Then why
are you not thankful to Him and why do you not obey His Commandments?
