Worship of Allah (L-3106)

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ 38  فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ 39

38.  Wa  laqad  khalaqNas-samaawaati  wal-‘arza  wa  maa  baynahumaa  fii  Sittati  ‘Ayyaam;  wa  maa  massaNaa  mil-luguub. 39.  Fasbir  'alaa  maa  yaquuluuna  wa  sabbih  bi-Hamdi Rabbika  qabla  tuluu-'ish-shamsi  wa  qablal- guruub.

38. And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us. 39. Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of your Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;

Fii  Sittati  ‘Ayyaam – (in six Days), it aims that entire universe was created in process of time.

It is commanded: The most important work of the mankind in the world is to know his Creator and Lord; and worship Him only. Those who preferred other works leaving Allaah Almighty, they arranged for own destruction. History of human beings gives its evidence. Most rebellious, powerful and physically strongest people passed away from the world, who used to consider that they could do as they desired and none could harm them. They prospered for some days, learned sufficient and did sufficient, but they did not learn and do that which was required.

It was described in the previous verses: Take a warning from the circumstances of ancient people and do not adopt rebellion like them. What is difficult in knowing Allaah Almighty? See His Divine Power Who created the heavens and the earth which are before your eyes. We describe; if it is not visible to you. We created and perfected them and whatsoever is between them in six Days, but there touched Us no weariness.

It is false thought of the Jews and the Christians that Allaah Almighty worked for six Days and on seventh Day took rest being tired (Let us flee to God). Hear their sayings with patience but don’t be careless from your work! That work is - worship and exalt Allaah Almighty, with praise before the rising of the sun and before its setting, remember His good Attributes particularly most of your time, and say, “He is Free from all Defects but is Owner of all Excellences”.
