And those who listen to you {O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) attentively and it can be hoped from them that they will admit the Truth after hearing. Your causing such people to understand will be useful and it will benefit them – either they will believe or they will be fortunate enough to strengthen their belief if they have already believed. Their doubts will be over. Explain the aim of the life before them and say: Allaah Almighty has bestowed distinguished sense to two kinds of the creatures – the Jinn and the Mankind. They both have to abide by natural Laws and Established Orders prescribed by Allaah Almighty like other creatures. But because they have senses and intentions more than other creatures, so they must know their Creator by using their senses and obey His Commands with intention. If they did not do so, then as though; they did not use their senses and intentions properly and left these such both attributes useless.
We have bestowed to them sense and understanding for the purpose that they should draw as a conclusion correctly from general facts; and understand well that their Creator is Allaah Almighty, Who sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) for their guidance, from whom Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is the last one, and Qur’an is the last Book; in which Allaah Almighty has described clearly that they must live in the world according to its Commandments. It is called “the worship of Allaah”, that is to say, to walk on the path prescribed by Allaah with one's own will and authority, which is called “the Divine Way of Religion”.
It is the duty of the Jinn and the Mankind; and the only aim of creating them by giving them sense and intention, that they should follow the instructions of the Religion. If they used their senses and intentions only for worldly matters, and applied their intentions only in amusements, then they did not fulfill the actual object for which these attributes were given to them. After death; they will be asked harshly concerning it that where did they use their senses and intentions? Were these attributes given to you for dancing attendance upon “the Science” only and inventing new things by experiments, making machines, clutches and weapons of mass destruction for overcoming others, or discovering new means of luxurious things in the world?
Bear in mind that all such things are to destroy the Reason. You
did nothing if you did not know God by your sense. After death when you will be
present before Allaah Almighty, He will ask: Where did you use your
sense? Will you reply at that time – we made rails by our senses, flew by air,
invented Atom Bombs and controlled material powers? Then it will be said to
you: We did not give you sense for these purposes, but to worship by knowing
Us.
