Don’t strut on majority (L-3156)

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُّنتَصِرٌ 44 سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ 45 بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ 46 إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ 47 يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ 48 إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ 49 |

44. ‘Am yaquuluuna nahnu jamii-'um-muntasir. 45. Sa-yuhzamul-jam-'u wa yuwalluunad-dubur. 46. Balis-Saa-'atu maw-'idu-hum was-Saa-'atu ‘ad-haa wa ‘amarr. 47. ‘Innal- mujrimiina fii zalaalinw-wa su-'ur. 48. Yawma yus-habuuna fin-Naari 'alaa wujuuhihim zuuquu massa Saqar. 49. ‘Innaa
kulla shay-'in khalaqNaahu
bi-qadar. |

44. Or
say they: We are a host victorious? 45. The
hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 46. Nay,
but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more
wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 47. Lo!
The guilty are in error and madness. 48. On
the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto
them): Feel the touch of hell. 49. Lo!
We have created every thing by measure. |
It is commanded: Don’t be proud of your great assembly. We shall overcome against you, and your assembly will be defeated, and you will turn your backs very soon in retreat. So it happened in the Battles of Badr and Ahzaab.
It is commanded: After that, there is a Day of
Judgement concerning which it has been promised with them. The Day of
Resurrection will be more disastrous, full of afflictions and more painful than
the difficulties of this world. Listen! The people, who do not refrain from
wrong deeds, are in error and madness. It is not visible to them that what will
happen on the Doomsday, when they will be dragged into the Fire on their faces.
Their eyes will be opened on that Day and it will be said to them: Taste now
the touch of the Fire. Believe in it that everything will happen as We have
already predestinated.
