The same did the ancient (1) (L-3120)

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ 52  أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ 53  فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ 54  وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 55  وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ 56

52.  Kazaalika  maaa  ‘atal-laziina  min-  qablihim-mir-Rasuulin  ‘illaa  qaaluu  saahirun  ‘aw  majnuun. 53.  ‘A-tawaa-saw  bih.  Bal  hum  qawmun-  taaguun. 54.  Fatawalla  'anhum  fa-maaa  ‘anta  bi-maluum. 55.  Wa  zakkir  fa-‘innaz-Zikraa  tanfa-'ul-Mu'-miniin. 56.  Wa  maa  khalaqTul- Jinna  wal- ‘insa  ‘illaa  li-ya'-buduun.

52. Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman! 53. Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 54. So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for you are in no wise blameworthy, 55. And warn, for warning profits believers. 56. I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.

It is commanded: These people do neither listen to the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), nor know Allaah Almighty by their senses after looking the Signs of His Divine Power; and nor pay attention towards Him according to the Commands of Holy Qur’an. The same condition was of those who passed away before them. Many of them were such people who used to evade by saying that he {the Prophet of Allaah Almighty (peace be upon him)} was a wizard or insane. It seems that such people say to one another at the time of their death: Be careful! Do never hear the talk of those who invite towards Allaah Almighty. Did they really suggest it to them? Of course, in wickedness and impudence; they are alike. As ancient people rebelled, like them these are rebellious too. However, O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): You have performed your duty. You are not to be blamed if they do not believe. Turn away from such people and pay attention to those who believe in Allaah Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)
