Tokens of God (L-3113)

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ 20 وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ 21 وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ 22 فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ 23 |

20. Wa fil-‘arzi ‘Aayaatul-lil-Muuqiniin. 21. Wa fiii ‘anfusi-kum. ‘Afalaa tubsiruun. 22. Wa fis-samaaa-'i Rizqukum wa maa tuu-'aduun. 23. Fawa-
Rabbis-samaaa-'i wal-‘arzi ‘innahuu
la-Haqqum-misla maaa ‘annakum
tantiquun. (Section 1/18) |

20. And
in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 21. And
(also) in yourselves. Can you then not see? 22. And
in the heaven is your providence and that which you are promised; 23. And
by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is
true) that you speak. |
It
was commanded in the previous verses: Those, who keep from evil in the world,
sleep but a little of the night, seek forgiveness of Allaah Almighty
before dawning of each day, and the beggars and the outcast have due share in
their wealth, will dwell among the Gardens and water-springs.
In these verses it is commanded: Their escaping from wicked deeds and remaining busy in doing good works was not for worldly objects or for false gods, but they used to abstain from wrong deeds due to only fear of God’s displeasure. They used to do righteous works only for pleasing Allaah Almighty. It turned out that righteousness and piety, by which Paradise is acquired, is the same which is only and purely for Allaah Almighty, otherwise which goodness and abstinence will be for reaping worldly advantages, that will not be useful in the Hereafter.
If they ask: What is Allaah and Where He is? Listen! You
can know Him by His Portents. His Portents have been spreading in the heavens
and in the earth everywhere including into yourselves. But these all Portents
are only for them who are ready to believe and conclude correctly from that
whatever they see with their eyes. Such people will reach such conclusions by
their senses; which are being described by this Holy Qur’an. And they
will come to know that whatsoever is happening in the earth, its Commandment is
descended from the Heavens, even your provision does not depend only on your
earning and hard work, but it also is arranged from the Heavens. The matters
that “God is One” and whatever happens; happens by His Command, are as True and
Real as you speak by your tongue, that is to say, as you do not have any doubt
in your talking, like this; there is no doubt in it too.
