Worldly punishment of transgressors (L-3133)
|
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 47 وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ 48 وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ 49 |

47. Wa ‘inna lillaziina zalamuu 'azaaban duuna zaalika wa laakinna ‘aksarahum laa ya'-lamuun. 48. Wasbir li-hukmi Rabbika fa-‘innaka bi-‘a'-yuninaa wa sabbih bi-Hamdi Rabbika hiina taquum. 49. Wa
minal-layli fa-sabbih-hu wa
‘idbaaran-nujuum. (Section – 2/4) |

47. And
verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most
of them know not. 48. So
wait patiently (O Muhammad) for your Lord's decree, for surely you are in Our
sight; and hymn the praise of your Lord when you uprise, 49. And
in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. |
Whatsoever was described earlier, that was a Doom, which is ready for the wrongdoers in the Hereafter. It was said for this purpose that if they do neither listen to the advice and nor care about threatening, then you must leave them and let them do whatever they desire. Such Day is coming very soon when they will fall down being insensible. They will not have strength even for standing up. Whatever they used to do during their worldly life, will not be of their use on the Day of Resurrection. No one will care them and nor will they be helped by anyone.
It has been commanded in this verse: That calamity will fall upon them on the Doomsday. But they will be punished in this world also. They have been entangled in their carelessness. And most of them do not know that their evil deeds will not run for many days.
Listen! We have to keep up the world for some more days. The
mischievous people cannot be permitted for it that they put the world in
destruction before time. Therefore, they will be punished in this world before
the Day of Judgement too. Now, O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him): Wait with patience! We have been watching you continuously and We
shall protect you. Praise and glorify your Lord regularly. Spend some time in
adoration, particularly when you leave any gathering; and when you get up
during night hours and when stars set and it dawns, worship Allaah
Almighty.
