This dispute is only of a few days (L-3241)

عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَجْعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ عَادَيْتُم مِّنْهُم مَّوَدَّةً وَٱللَّهُ قَدِيرٌ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 7  لَّا يَنْهَىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمْ وَتُقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ 8

7.  ‘AsAllaahu  ‘any-yaj-'ala  baynakum  wa  baynal-laziina  'aaday-tum-minhum-mawad-dah.  Wallaahu  Qadiir.  Wallaahu  Gafuurur-Rahiim. 8.  Laa  yanhaa-kumUllaahu  'anil-laziina  lam  yuqaati-luukum  fid-Diini  wa  lam  yukh-rijuukum- min-  diyaari-kum  ‘an  tabarruuhum.  Wa  tuqsituuu  ‘ilaiyhim  ‘innAllaaha  Yuhibbul- Muqsitiin.

7. It may be that Allah will ordain love between you and those of them with whom you are at enmity. Allah is Mighty, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 8. Allah forbids you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that you should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loves the just dealers.

It is commanded: This is a matter of some days that between you and those with whom you are at enmity, it is hoped that Allaah Almighty will put affection. Wicked people will be crushed and those who; today are enemies will become friends. Accordingly, the same happened after the Victory of Makkah. Nearly all people of Makkah embraced Islam and became friends of Muslims. Entire war was over and they became brothers of one another.

After that it is commanded: Allaah Almighty does not command you to behave equally with the people of all other religions. Those who did not fight you because of religion and did not expel you from your homes, you can deal with them in a good manner and act justly. Allaah Almighty loves the just dealers. Those who want to live together and are ready to settle entire affairs mutually with justice and equity, refrain from oppressing others due to being of any other religion; you must live together along with them without any dispute or hesitation.
