Chapter “SAFF” - (THE RANKS) - 61
In this Chapter, it has been described to the Muslims: Many are such people who say by their mouths more than sufficient but do nothing. You must escape from such bad habit, say only that which you intend to do or can do if an opportunity is provided to you. For its explanation, the circumstances of the Jews have been narrated that they used to say very much verbally to Moses (peace be upon him) that they were ready every time to do great works, whenever they would be ordered by Moses (peace be upon him); they would get ready to sacrifice themselves, but when the time of work used to come; they used to deny in such a way that Moses (peace be upon him) used to feel very hurt.
Second example of their shirking was such behavior which they adopted with Jesus (peace be upon him). He explained before them: I am a Messenger of Allaah. He has sent me to you for your guidance. I confirm those Commandments which are mentioned in Torah that those are true and correct. Practically I abide by those principles which have been described in it. I inform you that the Last Messenger, named Ahmad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) will come after me. You must obey his sayings.
They affirmed verbally that they would be supporters of the Last Messenger and would never be his disobedient. But when he (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) came and they knew clearly from his signs that really he was the Last Messenger; whose good tidings was given by Jesus (peace be upon him), then being under influence of their mean thoughts; they denied from his Messenger-hood and said: He is (God forbid) a wizard, and the messenger for whom it has been promised; will come now and will be from us.
The result of their wicked deeds was that their depravities were increased and they were included at the top in the list of wrongdoers. Alas! The Muslims forgot the lesson taught by this Chapter and became like those stray people, that is to say, boasting verbally and shirking their duties, whereas they have been informed very clearly: Believe in Allaah Almighty wholeheartedly, obey Muhammad, the Last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and fight in the Way of Allaah Almighty. If you will do so, you will have a comfortable life on the Day of Resurrection, as well as you will overcome all in the world too, as it is obvious from the circumstances of the supporters and believers of Jesus (peace be upon him). They obeyed Jesus (peace be upon him) and Allaah Almighty helped them, and the Jews who believed in him and followed him step by step, they also overcame upon them who disbelieved in Jesus (peace be upon him).
We must understand from it: The aim from fighting in the Way of Allaah
Almighty is to fight such people who spread mischief in the world and molest
others only due to difference of the religion.
