Introduction of Chapter 62 (L-3257)

Chapter “JUMU-‘AH” - (The Congregation) - 62

This is sixty-second Chapter of Holy Qur’an according to order. It was sent down during the middle times of Second and Fourth year AH in Madinah. It contains two Sections. In this Chapter, it has been described to the entire mankind of the world: All that is in the heavens and the earth have limited power and cannot work beyond its limit. Everything feels its helplessness at any occasion. Only Allaah is Whose Divine Power is unlimited. His Command works on everything and every time. So everything is His obedient and in fact; He is The Sovereign and the Pure from every defect and fault.   He is the Mighty. No one can make the slightest noise before Him. His every work is full of wisdom and knowledge.

Behold! He arranged to make the mankind polite and civilised wonderfully. At first He appointed Muhammad, an illiterate (‘Ummii) Apostle from the illiterate people of Arab among them, who (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) recited the verses of the Book of Allaah before them; while he did not know reading or writing, made them polite and civilised, and taught them wisdom which was accepted by most intelligent people of the world. It was Grace of Allaah Almighty Who conferred a chance of His favors first of all to the people of Arab. And then by means of them, He arranged to convey the matters of wisdom to the entire people of the world, from which the people of every class and Country will reap advantage until the last Hour.

Then it is commanded: The Muslims should not be careless from the teachings of Holy Qur’an and Sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). They should not think about temporary worldly benefits, otherwise their similitude will be the same as of the Jews who have a lot of books but do not know that what is written into them; and who desire a luxurious life only of this world. They will be tormented very severely.

After that it is commanded: When the Call is made for the prayer (Azaan) on the day of the Congregation (Friday), the believers must make haste to offer prayer, listen to Speech of the Religious Guide and remember Allaah Almighty. At that time they should leave trading and amusements etc. and offer prayer attentively.

After offering prayer, they should disperse in the land for seeking the Bounty of Allaah Almighty without forgetting Him. They should never consider that due to being engaged in prayer; their earning will be less than normal. The provision is in the Hand of Allaah Almighty. He is Able to fulfil every requirement of every individual.
