Example of the helpers of Jesus (L-3255)

وَأُخْرَىٰ تُحِبُّونَهَا نَصْرٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَفَتْحٌ قَرِيبٌ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 13 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوٓا۟ أَنصَارَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَا قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ لِلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ مَنْ أَنصَارِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِ فَـَٔامَنَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَكَفَرَت طَّآئِفَةٌ فَأَيَّدْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّهِمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ ظَٰهِرِينَ 14 |

13. Wa ‘ukhraa tuhibbuuna-haa Nasrum-minAllaahi wa fat-hun qariib. Wa bashshiril-Mu’-miniin. 14. Yaaa-‘ayyuhal-laziina ‘aamanuu
kuunuuu ‘ansaarAllaahi kamaa
qaala 'Iisabnu-Maryama lil-Hawaariyyiina man
‘ansaariii ‘ilAllaah. Qaalal-Hawaariy-yuuna nahnu
‘ansaarUllaahi fa-‘aamanat-taaa-'ifatum-mim- Bannii
‘Israaa-'iila wa kafarat-taaa-'ifah. Fa-‘ayyadNal-laziina ‘aamanuu
'alaa 'aduwwihim fa-‘asbahuu
zaahiriin. (Section 2/10) |

13. And
(He will give you) another (blessing) which you love: help from Allah and
present victory. Give good tidings (O Muhammad) to believers. 14. O
you who believe! Be Allah's helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the
disciples: Who are my helpers for Allah? They said: We are Allah's helpers.
And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then
We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the
uppermost. |
‘Al-Hawaariyyuuna – (open-hearted, sincere people), this word is plural of hawaariy-yun, which is used for the washer-man, because he makes the clothes clean. Those who accepted the invitation of Jesus (peace be upon him) first of all, they were washer-men.
It is commanded: Reward of putting belief in Allaah Almighty and doing good works; will be given very soon in the world, which you love; is that you will obtain victory very soon on your enemies by the help of Allaah Almighty.
After that it is commanded: O
you, who have believed: Be the supporters of Allaah, as the companions
of Jesus (peace be upon him) replied, and
said unanimously, “You want supporters of Allaah who should help you. So
we are supporters of Allaah." After that, some people from the
Children of Israel believed and some disbelieved. We helped those who believed
against their enemy, and they became dominant.
