Chapter “SAFF” - (THE RANKS) - 61
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ 1 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ 2 كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ 3 إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُم بُنْيَٰنٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ 4 |

1. Sabbaha Lillaahi maa fis-samaawaati wa maa fil-‘arz. Wa Huwal-'Aziizul-Hakiim. 2. Yaaa-‘ayyuhal-laziina ‘aamanuu lima taquuluuna maa laa taf-'aluun. 3. Kabura maqtan 'indAllaahi -an-taquuluu maa laa taf-'aluun. 4. ‘InnAllaaha
yuhib-bul-laziina
yuqaatiluuna fii Sabiilihii
SAFFAN ka-‘anna-hum bunyaanum-marsuus. |

1. All
that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifies Allah, and He
is the Mighty, the Wise. 2. O
you who believe! Why say you that which you do not? 3. It
is most hateful in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not. 4. Lo!
Allah loves them who battle for His cause in ranks, as if they were a solid
structure. |
It has been described in the beginning of this Chapter: Everything, which is in the heavens and is on the earth, manifests clearly that Allaah Almighty is Pure from all kinds of defects and faults. He is Overcoming the entire. He is the Knower of everything’s root and reality.
After that it is commanded: O believers! Why do you say what you do not do? Great is hatred in the Sight of Allaah that you say what you do not do when you have to do. Known from it; is that those people who boast by their tongues that if an opportunity is given to them, they will do best. But when they avail a chance, they run away. Usually such are useless and good people for nothing.
Then it is commanded: Allaah Almighty
loves those people very much who fight in His cause in a row as though they are
a single structure joined firmly.
