Another nonsense (L-3267)

يَقُولُونَ لَئِن رَّجَعْنَآ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ ٱلْأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا ٱلْأَذَلَّ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 8 (ع) يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ 9

8.  Yaquuluuna  la-'ir-raja'-naaa  ‘ilal-Madiinati  layukhri-jannal-‘a-‘azzu  minhal-‘azall.  Wa  Lillaahil-'izzatu  wa  li-RasuuliHii  wa lil-Mu'-miniina  wa  laakin-nal-Munaafiqiina  laa  ya'-lamuun. (Section 1/13) 9.  Yaaa-‘ayyuhallaziina  ‘aamanuu  laa  tul-hikum  ‘amwaa-lukum  wa  laa  ‘awlaadukum  'an  ZikRillaah.  Wa  many-yaf-'al  zaalika  fa-‘ulaaa-'ika  humul-khaasiruun.

8. They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongs to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not. 9. O you who believe! Let not your wealth nor your children distract you from remembrance of Allah. Those who do so, they are the losers.

The Chieftain of the hypocrites, named AbdUllah bin ‘Ubaii, listened during a journey that one emigrant and one inhabitant (Muhaajir and ‘Ansaarii) had disputed. He spoke on it before his comrades against the emigrants: The inhabitants of Madinah spend their wealth on the emigrants, so they have become so much stubborn. If the people of Madinah will not spend for them, they will be dispersed without any further delay. He said also: After reaching Madinah, we shall exile these emigrants who are a handful weak people, because we are more powerful than them.

In this verse, the Muslims have been informed about the thoughts of the hypocrites and it has been described: To Allaah belongs all honor and power, and to His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.

After that it is commanded: O you, who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allaah like these foolish people, lest you leave remembrance of Allaah Almighty being entangled in the love of wealth and children. They have forgotten their Lord, who have been entangled in the love of worldly wealth and children. They will be the great losers.
