Consequence of Disbelieving (L-3320)

فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍ 8 وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ 9 فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً 10 إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ 11 لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌ وَٰعِيَةٌ 12 |

8. Fahal taraa lahum-mim- baaqiyah. 9. Wa jaaa-'a Fir-‘awnu wa man- qablahuu wal- mu'-tafikaatu bil-khaati-'ah. 10. Fa-'asaw Rasuula Rabbihim fa-‘akhazahum ‘akhzatar-raabiyah. 11. ‘Innaa lammaa tagal-maaa-'u hamal-naakum fil-jaariyah. 12. Li-Naj-'alahaa lakum
Tazki-ratanw-wa ta-'iyahaa ‘uzununw-waa-'iyah. |

8. Can
you (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them? 9. And
Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed,
brought error, 10. And
they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a
tightening grip. 11. Lo!
when the waters rose, We carried you upon the ship 12. That
We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard
the story) might remember. |
It is commanded: The folk of ‘Aad was destroyed in such a way that no one among them was saved. Like this, Pharaoh of Egypt, the people before him and the folk of Lot (peace be upon him) chose evil deeds and forgot the Day of Resurrection. We punished them also severely. Like them, when a violent water-storm came in the times of Noah (peace be upon him) and the water boiled up from the earth, then none from the mankind could escape and all were drowned. But We saved some people including some animals by means of a ship, otherwise you too would not be present today because you are their descendants who were saved by the ship.
Every mankind should keep Our favours and kindnesses in mind,
particularly those who are able to bear in mind after hearing this incident and
understand that, “Allaah Almighty saves His obedient people and destroys
the disobedient”.
