Reconciliation after divorce (L-3281)

فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَأَشْهِدُوا۟ ذَوَىْ عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ لِلَّهِ ذَٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًا 2 وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ 3a |

2. Fa-‘izaa balagna ‘ajala-hunna fa-‘amsikuu-hunna bi-ma'-ruufin ‘aw faariquu-hunna bi-ma'-ruufinw-wa ‘ash-hiduu zaway 'adlim-minkum wa ‘aqiimush-shahaadata Lillaah. Zaalikum yuu-'azu bihii man- kaana yu'-minu Billaahi wal-Yawmil-‘Aakhir. Wa many-yattaQillaaha yaj-'al-lahuu makhrajaa. 3a. Wa
yarzuq-hu min haysu
laa yahtasib. |

2. Then,
when they have reached their term, take them back in kindness or part from
them in kindness, and call to witness two just men among you, and keep your
testimony upright for Allah. Whoso believes in Allah and the Last Day is
exhorted to act thus. And whosoever keeps his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint
a way out for him, 3a. And
will provide for him from (a quarter) whence he has no expectation. |
In this verse, the same Commandment has been explained, summary of which has passed in the previous lesson, that is to say, whosoever divorces his wife one or two times (in the period of which he can reconcile), and its waiting period reaches near to go to an end, then it depends on him, he can either retain his wife according to acceptable terms and they can live as husband and wife or leave her after passing of the terms. Then they will remain no more husband and wife. But in both forms, they both should care according to humanity and nobility. If you desire to retain your wife, you must not retain her for increasing the waiting period of the terms and molesting the woman violently. You must never taunt her whether you desire to retain or leave her. And you must bring to witness two just men from among you so that you may be saved from any slander etc. And you must establish the testimony for the acceptance of Allaah, if you are said to do so, and consider that you are going to obey your Lord.
That will reap advantage from these
instructions; who believes in Allaah Almighty and the Last Day,
otherwise before Islam the women were misbehaved in various forms of marriage
and divorce etc. Belief in Allaah Almighty and the Day of Resurrection
can prevent the mankind from injustice and transgression. This is the elixir by
which every mankind can get rid of every problem. Don’t fear difficulties in
the obedience of Allaah Almighty. He will arrange to save you from
misfortunes. Whoever fears Allaah - He will make for him a way out and
will provide for him from where he does not expect.
