Hypocrites are liars (L-3264)

Chapter “MUNAAFIQUUN” - (The Hypocrites) - 63

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ قَالُوا۟ نَشْهَدُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَكَٰذِبُونَ 1  ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ 2  ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ 3

1.  ‘Izaa  jaaa-'akal- MUNAAFIQUUNA qaaluu  nash-hadu  ‘innaka  la-RasuulUllaah.  Wallaahu  Ya'-lamu  ‘innaka  la-Rasuuluh.  Wallaahu  yash-hadu  ‘innal-Munaafiqiina  la-kaazibuun. 2.  ‘Ittakhazuu  ‘aymaanahum  junnatan  fasadduu  'an  SabiiLillaah.  ‘Innahum  saaa-'a  maa  kaanuu  ya'-maluun. 3.  Zaalika  bi-‘annahum  ‘aamanuu  summa  kafaruu  fatubi-'a  'alaa  quluubihim  fahum  laa  yafqahuun.

1. When the hypocrites come unto you (O Muhammad), they say: We bear witness that you are indeed Allah's messenger. And Allah knows that you are indeed His messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites indeed are speaking falsely. 2. They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily evil is that which they are wont to do, 3. That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not.

It is commanded: When O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) the pretenders of virtue (the hypocrites) come to you and say (by their mouths which they do not have in their hearts): We testify that you are the Messenger of Allaah. And Allaah knows that you are His Messenger, but He testifies that the hypocrites are liars. They tell a lie and have taken their oaths as a cover. Heartily they do not have belief in your Messenger-hood. They are selfish, who swear immediately that they are Muslims, for saving themselves from the Muslims. After that when they get any chance, they avert the people from the Way of Allaah by saying that the Muslims are bad people. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. It is because they claim that they are believes, but in fact they are disbelievers. So their hearts were sealed over, and they did not understand.
