Healthy but the coward (L-3265)

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِن يَقُولُوا۟ تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ هُمُ ٱلْعَدُوُّ فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ 4  وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ لَوَّوْا۟ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ 5  سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ  لَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ6a

4.  Wa  ‘izaa  ra-‘aytahum  tu'-jibuka  ‘ajsaamuhum.  Wa  ‘iny-yaquuluu  tasma'  liqawlihim.  Ka-‘annahum  khushubum-musannadah.  Yahsabuuna  kulla  say-hatin  'alayhim.  Humul-'aduwwu fahzarhum.  Qaatala-humUllaah!  ‘Annaa  yu'-fakuun. 5.  Wa  ‘izaa  qiila  lahum  ta-'aalaw  yastagfir  lakum  RasuulUllaahi  lawwaw  ru-'uusahum  wa  ra-‘aytahum  yasudduuna  wa  hum-mustakbiruun. 6a.  Sawaaa-'un  'alayhim  ‘astag-farta  lahum  ‘am  lam  tastag-fir  lahum.  Lany-yag-firAllaahu  lahum.

4. And when you see them their figures please you; and if they speak you give ear unto their speech. (They are) as though they were blocks of wood in striped cloaks. They deem every shout to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah confound them! How they are perverted! 5. And when it is said unto them: Come! The messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you! They avert their faces and you see them turning away, disdainful. 6a. Whether you ask forgiveness for them or ask not forgiveness for them is all one for them;

It is commanded: Apparently it seems from their forms that they are very healthy, which pleases everyone. And if they speak, you consider that their conversation is very interesting. But actually they are nothing. They are as if they were pieces of wood propped up. Being timid they think that every shout is against them as a calamity. Truly they are very afraid of any sudden happening. They are the enemies, so beware of them. May Allaah destroy them. How are they deluded? And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allaah (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant. It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them.
